About Ecovion
Smart Materials for Real-World Impact
Ecovion is an India-based deep-tech startup building a material-innovation platform for controlled delivery and environmental remediation.
At our core, we design proprietary material systems that regulate how active molecules behave in real-world environments, such as soil, water, and biological interfaces. Instead of focusing on a single product, Ecovion is developing a scalable materials platform that can support multiple application verticals over time.
Our first entry market is agriculture, where inefficient fertilizer and pesticide delivery causes massive input loss, environmental pollution, and rising farmer costs. By redesigning how inputs are delivered to the root zone, Ecovion improves efficiency, safety, and sustainability without changing farmer practices. We are currently incubated at ICAR–IARI (Pusa Krishi) and progressing from pilot-scale validation toward field trials and commercialization.

Meet the Team

Dr. Madhuparna Ray
Co-Founder & CEOPh.D from the Department of Polymer and Process Engineering at IIT Roorkee. Earlier, she completed her bachelor’s (Chemistry) and master’s (Materials Science) from the University of Burdwan and CIPET Bhubaneswar, respectively, and spent 5 years involved in MOF research. AIR 232, GATE 2017.

Abhinav K. Singh
FounderFounder of Ecovion Pvt. Ltd. and a Ph.D. researcher in the Department of Polymer and Process Engineering at IIT Roorkee. Holds an M.Tech in Polymer Engineering & Technology from ICT Mumbai and a B.Tech in Plastic Technology from HBTU Kanpur (AIR 169, GATE 2020). Industry experience as a Research Engineer and academic experience as a Lecturer, with expertise in sustainable materials, advanced polymers and agricultural technologies. Recipient of the Pusa Krishi Startup Grant.
